4 4 BIG FOUR (P102) D Whyte H Began OK, snagged back from wide draw and taken across behind horses to sit in last pair but away from fence. Switched 3-wide turning for home, hampered 200m, kept on well.
5 7 GREAT SKY (N426) C Y Ho B/TT Ridden along to hold midfield position but kept 3-4 wide without cover. Covered extra ground turn, kept on steadily in straight while laying in 200m.
6 10 GOOD CHOICE (P423) N Callan XB Jumped with field, ridden to maintain forward position but held 3-wide mostly. Steadied 1200m, wide into straight, kept on despite being checked 200m.
7 11 DISCIPLES TWELVE (P018) W M Lai B Outpaced early, drifting to rear but held 3-wide mostly. Taken further out 500m but only one-paced in straight.
8 1 ROCKET FLY (S112) T Berry H Began fairly, crossed to rail and improved position to 4-back from leader. Stayed on rail around turn but only one-paced in straight.
9 12 BALTIC WARRIOR (S237) K C Leung H/TT Broke well, pressed forward 3-wide to stay with leading pack. Rolled forward to sit 2nd around turn, kept on early in straight before tiring from 200m. (Rider dropped whip 300m)
10 5 CIRCUIT STAR (N220) H W Lai TT Ridden forward from wide draw before crossing to fence in box seat before turn. Dropped back to 3rd entering straight and gave ground steadily in straight.
11 6 GREEN MANNER (N425) H Bowman B-/H2/TT2 Began OK, snagged back from wide draw and taken across behind runners in last place to turn. Wide around turn but found little in straight despite hard riding.
12 13 MY LEGEND (P387) C Y Lui H Bumped start, mustered and led initially before being crossed, dropping to 3rd before turn. Checked 200m and dropped out.
