3 4 BACK IN BLACK (T358) K Teetan TT Quickly away, pushed forward, settling one-off, three-back. Rolled forward 350m, shifted in 200m forcing jockey to stop riding, then one-paced.
4 10 STAR OF WAI BO (P177) C Y Ho H/P Pressed forward from an outside draw, racing wide till joining leader passing 950m. Joint leader passing 200m but one-paced closing stages.
5 3 SPARKLING TALENT (T346) R Fourie TT Hard ridden from outside draw to stay with leaders in one-off, one-back position. Battled on gamely early in straight, one-paced final 200m.

10 7 MIGHTY EQUUS (P112) G Benoist V Stumbled start and hit barrier stall, ridden to make ground but wide, settling behind midfield. One-paced in straight.
11 5 STORM KID (S338) C K Tong -- Pushed early, settling midfield away from fence. Kept tabs on leading pack to straight when tired quickly.
