4 7 FLYING FORCE (V014) J Moreira H/XB/TT Began well, pushed forward from wide draw, settling ahead of midfield in one-off position. Switched out entering straight and ran on strongly to just miss a placing.
5 5 CHARITY GLORY (T302) N Rawiller CP/TT Restrained on jumping and shifted across to inner rail, settling towards rear. Improved position around turn, switched out in straight and ran on steadily between horses.
6 12 PAKISTAN BABY (S442) M Chadwick TT Crowded out start, shifted across behind horses, dropping to last. Trailed field to straight, took rails run and ran on steadily to be closest at the finish.
7 2 GREEN CARD (V126) D Whyte TT Bumped start, pressed forward, steadied 800m but kept 3-wide mostly, about 2L from leader. Wide into straight, kept on fairly to 200m before giving ground.
8 1 DIAMOND DRAGON (V002) B Prebble H/P/XB Jumped OK, no pace, dropping towards rear but wide. Kept wide around home turn, taken even wider in straight, boxed on one-paced.
9 13 RIGHT CALL (V024) K K Chiong B1 Pressed forward from widest draw, racing 4-wide before cutting in 900m to sit a half length outside leader. Under pressure from 300m and faded gradually.
10 6 SHAMAL (V290) Y T Cheng SR Hard ridden to lead on settling, then set good pace to straight. Overtaken passing 300m but kept battling to 100m when swamped.
11 11 GOLDEN DEER (P121) K C Leung B Restrained on jumping and shifted across behind horses, dropping to rear in one-off position. Switched out turning for home to make run but only one-paced under hard riding.

14 3 CAPE THE FAITH (V349) O Doleuze -- Crowded out at start, restrained and shifted across to rail, settling behind midfield. Kept on fairly to straight when soon under pressure and faded gradually.
