2 7 SKY KING (V217) O Doleuze H/B1/TT Came around the back of the field early, settling around midfield, on the rail. Came wider on the turn, and had an unimpeded run to the line. Strong in the straight, but just lost it in the last 100m.
3 14 UNICRON JEWELLERY (V333) J Moreira -- Taken up from the inside draw to eventually sit 3rd, on the rail. Came around early leaders heels, and nosed in front at 300m. Slightly 1 paced, losing the lead at 100m, and just holding 3rd late.
4 10 MAMBO ROCK (V050) A Badel -- Crowded on jumping, and settled just behind midfield, on the fence. Ran solidly in the straight, and was chasing down 3rd late, before just running out of ground.
5 4 WHOOP WHOOP (A096) C Williams -- Eased forward early, settling just behind midfield, 1 off the fence. Finished off strongly when asked from the 250m.
6 12 THUNDER STOMP (V279) H W Lai -- Cruised forward to sit midfield, 1 off the fence. Held up early in the straight, but clear from 350m and ran on solidly without threatening a place.
7 9 RUBY COAST (T159) K Teetan -- Dropped back early to sit a clear 2nd last, 3L off the main group. Plugged on OK in the straight and picked up a few slower ones, running on OK in the last 50m.
8 5 WINFIELD (V199) D Whyte -- Pushed forward early before dropping back to sit forward of midfield, 1 off the fence. Fighting with his jockey throughout and wanted to lay out in the straight, and not pushed out late. Jockey questioned.
9 1 BABA MAMA (V214) K C Leung H/TT Eased back early to sit towards the rear of the field, 3 wide with cover. Widest in the straight. Off heels at the 400m, but only battled on fairly to the line.
10 6 STARSHIP (V379) N Callan -- Taken up early, before dropping back at 1200m to sit midfield, 3 wide with cover. Only ran on fairly in the straight, and eased late.
11 11 BEAUTY LOVE (V025) K K Chiong H/TT Pushed forward early, and stuck wide until eventually grabbing the lead at 1100m. Dropped out from the 300m.
12 13 LUCKY PROFIT (S335) M Chadwick B/TT Taken up early, eventually settling 4th, 1 off the fence. Started to fade early in the straight, and not pushed out.
13 8 RAZOR QUEST (S146) O Murphy H/TT Fairly away, then pushed forward to sit 2nd/3rd, 2-3 wide. Faded from the 300m, and eased out late.
14 3 SUNNY WAY (V176) S Clipperton H Taken forward early, before dropping back to sit midfield, 3 wide with no cover. Came off heels at 300m, and played no part after that. Unacceptable performance.
