3 5 ALCARI (A354) K Teetan B Fairly away, then bumped and unbalanced on jumping. Recovered to settle midfield. Stayed close to the rails and stayed on solidly to hold 3rd late.
4 4 GOOD BEAUTY (B384) C Schofield -- Eased away and settled worse than midfield. Ran on strongly in the straight. No threat for a place, but was making up steady ground on 3rd.
5 7 MIGHTY MAVERICK (V150) M F Poon PC/TT Cruised forward early to settle around midfield. Stayed on solidly in the straight and made up some ground.
6 1 KEY WITNESS (S212) D Whyte B/TT Bumped and unbalanced on jumping. Initially sat around midfield early, before dropping back to be a clear last. Widest in the straight and ran solidly to claim more than half the field late.
7 12 ALL GREAT FRIENDS (S279) H N Wong -- Bumped on jumping and hampered shortly after. Settled around midfield. Only fair in the straight and was no threat. Jockey questioned.
8 10 LUCKY GUY (T349) W M Lai TT Dropped back early from the wide draw to settle towards the rear of the field. Battled on gamely in the straight, but no threat.
9 11 MONEYMORE (B182) K C Ng CP/H/TT Pushed out early to lead. Gave nothing in the straight, and dropped out quickly from 250m.
10 3 GAMECHANGERS (A162) S Clipperton -- Pushed out early to sit just forward of midfield. Only battled away fairly early in the straight, before being awkwardly placed on heels at 200m. Eased out late.
11 9 BIG FORTUNE (B220) U Rispoli CP Taken forward early to settle just forward of midfield, 1 off the fence. Steadied off heels at 200m, but only battled away 1 paced in the straight and eased out late.
12 2 LUCKY DOLLAR (A021) Z Purton B/TT Pushed forward early to sit 2nd, on the leaders flank. Dropped out very quickly in the straight. Jockey questioned. Vet- roarer.
13 6 MASTER ALBERT (A296) K C Leung TT Began awkwardly and dropped back from the wide draw to sit at the rear of the field. Raced was run by the 150m and not pushed out late.
