2 1 FABULOUS EIGHT (B473) C L Chau TT Bumped at start before improving to race in first 4. Moved to second entering last section & finished off well to hold that place but was no match for winner.
3 8 CARRY THE DIAMOND (D122) C Schofield B1/H1/TT1 Raced in midfield between runners. Closed off well in final 150m to move to third in final 50m. Good debut.
4 4 DUBLIN STAR (C436) A Hamelin B Raced on the leaders back when between runners in midfield. Battled on ok in final furlong to hold 4th on line. Only half-length behind second.
5 5 MANAGEMENT SUPREME (D248) C Y Ho -- Showed speed to race prominently just inside the leader, closer to stand side rail. Continued close entering last section before peaking at 200m & being caught for third in final 50m.
6 3 MAGIC SUPREME (D144) K H Chan H/XB/TT Bumped at start before racing in midfield closer to center of track. Maintained position relative to placed horses in final section & held midfield finish.
7 9 GOKO (A270) N Callan B/TT Began very awkwardly & lost ground before settling worse than midfield. Improved slightly to midfield after half-way before holding midfield position on stand side rail in last section.
8 6 COMFORT LIFE (B169) K Teetan V/XB/TT Began awkwardly from inside barrier & consequently raced near the rear throughout. Passed a few in final section when racing near center of track but was never a threat.
9 2 SUPER LUCKY (A251) J Moreira B/H/XB Bumped at start before drifting back to race near the rear. Hard ridden from before halfway & never featured.
10 12 STAR PRESENT (D279) M Chadwick H1/P1/TT1 Raced in midfield after start before drifting further back after first 400m. Niggled along passing half-way before weakening out further in last 300m to be well beaten on debut.
11 13 VIVA MAMA (D408) K C Leung -- Bumped at start before showing some speed soon after to race in first three. Niggled along passing the 400m mark before weakening out in the final 300m to be beaten over 10L.
12 14 M M JOHNNY (D115) H N Wong B Raced in midfield closer to the center of track. Was only just over 2L from lead entering the final section before tiring badly in final 300m to be beaten over 10L.
13 11 PLANET FLYER (D224) M F Poon -- Was slightly slow to begin & consequently raced near the tail on the stand side rail. Relegated to clear last after first 400m, before making no improvement in last section & beating only one runner home.
14 7 ALL THE WAY (D027) H T Mo B/TT1 Raced in midfield on stand side rail in early stages before drifting further back after first 300m. Crowded & lost ground near the 400m before tailing out to be a long last.
