2 13 INFINITE RESOLVE (K369) A Badel -- From draw 10 taken back to near last, had big task in hand leaving home turn, held up for clear running from 400M-250M before closing off strongly to take 2nd.
3 11 MID WINTER WIND (K208) M Chadwick -- Held up towards the rear along the fence, kept to the inside on straightening, closed off mildly to take 3rd close home without troubling first two.
4 9 PUBLIC ATTENTION (L035) A Atzeni CP- Up with early pace before settling down 3-wide behind leaders without cover, responded well early straight to go 2nd nearing 200M but couldn't sustain run late stages.
5 1 BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) B Avdulla E- Settled behind midfield 6Ls away, lacked a strong finishing kick passing 400M. No threat to leaders.
6 2 HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) C L Chau B/TT Ended up racing in midfield 4-5Ls off the fast pace, responded only fairly on straightening and failed to trouble leaders. (Jockey questioned regarding his riding in the middle stages.)
7 6 SKY TRUST (J161) H Bowman TT Up with early pace, tracked leaders in 3rd entering home turn, moved up to challenge passing 500M, fought for the lead early straight but couldn't sustain run passing 200M.
8 3 INVINCIBLE SHIELD (K168) C Y Ho -- Jumped on terms, held up in mid-division 3-wide, brought widest to challenge on straightening but ran on only fairly. (No Vet findings.)
9 12 BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334) Y L Chung B/TT Settled ahead of midfield, steadied when crowded near 900M then raced keenly for some distance, lacked a finishing response in the straight. Never a serious threat to leaders.
10 5 DROMBEG BANNER (H117) M Guyon -- Checked after the start, ended up near last much further back than usual, gave only limited response on straightening. Never threatened.
11 10 YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) M L Yeung E-/B Raced keenly after the start, ended up leading early stages and much more forward than intended, tracked leader going into home turn, fought on same pace early straight before weakening 250M.
12 4 DANCING CODE (G365) E C W Wong TT From draw 14 used early to go forward, crossed to the lead just before entering the home turn, caught by rivals 300M, no extra and weakened away.
13 14 MR ASCENDENCY (G227) H Bentley V/TT Dropped back from draw 13 to race in last, had some work to do top of straight but didn't respond to riding. Never in the picture.
14 7 MARKWIN (J420) H T Mo CP/TT From draw 1 settled ahead of midfield along the fence, fought hard to keep up with rivals early straight, weakened rapidly 200M. (Bled 2nd time / Compulsory retirement.)
