2 5 AURORA PATCH (K097) H Bowman V/TT From wide draw crossed to race in a 2-wide spot just off leaders, responded well leaving the bend to be challenging for the lead mid-straight, hard driven final 200M and only went down by a neck . Game in defeat.
3 1 ROMANTIC SON (J537) H Bentley CP Settled down midfield 3Ls off leaders, ran on steadily final 300M for 3rd but couldn't quite get to first two.
4 7 BLAZING WIND (J157) C L Chau B/TT Jumped on terms from draw 1, reserved in midfield on settling, held up for clear running from 400m to 200M before finishing off well. Not ridden out close home when racing tight. Could have finished 3rd.
5 2 CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262) C Y Ho B2/TT Slowly away, taken across to the fence and raced towards the rear, stayed on mildly final 300M without posing threat to first few.
6 11 E HO HO (L119) P N Wong TT Prominent chasing leader under 7lb claimer, fought on early straight to stay in contention, lost 2nd nearing 200M, no extra final stages.
7 10 YOUNG ARROW (J401) M L Yeung CP Caught racing 3-wide without cover towards the tail of the field, couldn't muster the pace to challenge on straightening. (Jockey fined for failing to ride out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards.)
8 6 MR ENERGIA (J239) J Orman B Slow to begin, settled towards the rear 5-6Ls back, failed to run on final 400M. (Jockey could offer no explanation.)
9 3 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) Y L Chung TT Driven to the lead setting even pace up front, headed by pursuing rivals nearing 200M, weakened badly final stages.
10 8 MUST GO (J133) A Atzeni E/PC/TT Dropped back on jumping from a wide draw, raced as the back marker 7Ls off the pace, failed to respond turning home and soon eased. (No Vet findings / Unacceptable Performance.)
