2 7 CIRCUIT KINGDOM (CB046) F Coetzee -- Jumped fairly from wide draw, niggled along to take lead 1200 M. Soon moved across to take up rail within 1-1/2Ls advantage through to straight, under pressure 250 M and responded well but overhauled on the line.
3 1 BORN DRAGON (BS215) C Williams B Not break well and ridden along to be 2 wide 4 to 5Ls off pace entering home turn. Shifted out gradually entering straight and made up some ground final 200 M to be closest at finish.
4 3 ORLANDO FLYER (CA350) Y T Cheng SR Missed the start slightly and raced towards the rear section 3 to 4 wide entering home turn. Advanced to worse than midfield entering straight. When asked 350 M out responded well but was never in position to trouble the placegetters.
5 4 SHABU SHABU (CB290) D Whyte SR Jumped fairly raced 3 wide 1-1/2 to 2Ls off pace through to straight, when put under pressure kept on same pace in the straight, no extra near finish.
6 8 FLORAL DYNAMITE (CB298) H K Yim -- Untidy start but recovered to settle 2 wide 1-1/2 to 2Ls off pace entering straight, when put under pressure one-paced to the line.
7 6 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) W C Marwing -- Broke fairly from wide draw and raced 4 to 5Ls off pace in midfield without cover through to straight, all out 250 M, but unable to get any closer to principals and weakened in the concluding stages.
8 9 NEW FACE (CA387) E Saint-Martin SR Broke well and niggled along to be 3 to 4Ls off pace on inner through to straight, under pressure 350 M out but unable to find any extra and stayed one-paced to the line.
9 2 SURPLUS (BT118) G Mosse SR Missed the start slightly and raced at rear on inner through to 600 M, advanced slightly entering straight when put under pressure kept on same pace to the line.
10 11 MR BEAUTIFUL (CB057) W M Lai -- Broke fairly and ridden along 5 to 6Ls off pace on inner around worse than midfield through to straight. When put under pressure found nothing and stayed one-paced to the line.

14 13 WEALTH STAR (CB337) R Quinn B Left the gates very awkwardly. Raced 4 wide 7Ls off pace. Commence to lose position 600 M out and soon became detached in home straight. (Significant inflammation in the horse's throat.)
