2 4 FLASH HARRY (CB180) R Fradd SR Soon settled around 4Ls off pace 3 wide. Made steady improvement turning for home to be 1-1/2Ls down entering straight. All out 300 M out and ran on well but unable to up a gear to overhaul the winner.
3 3 STRATEGUS (CC050) F Coetzee -- On jumping bounded in the air. Soon recovered to race around 1-1/2Ls off pace on rail through to straight. Obtained clear running at 200 M and made up good ground there after to miss the 1st pair by a short margin.
4 6 SILVERBIRD (CB335) D Whyte -- Began well from wide draw and steadily moved across to race outside leader through to straight. Unable to quicken when placed under pressure 350 M out and kept on evenly to the line.
5 1 GLOBAL FORTUNE (CB422) E Saint-Martin -- Niggled along to race in midfield 2 wide. Steadied at 600 M. Around 3Ls down entering straight. Only ran on evenly to the line when asked 200 M out.
6 8 ELITE WIN (CA300) W M Lai B- Settled in rear section around 2 wide. Made little improvement from the outside turning for home. Made up little ground in early part of straight but no extra inside the final 200 M.
7 13 AHEAD A HEAD (CB092) S Dye -- Jumped awkwardly but soon recovered to race in prominent position. Proved difficult to settle in the early stages and hung out when making the turn. One-paced and continue to hang out in straight.
8 9 FLAGS UP (BS126) M W Leung B On jumping knuckled and raced in mid-division on rail through to straight. Unable to quicken when asked 350 M and kept on one-paced to the line.
9 7 TIRAMISU (CB386) O Doleuze B-/V1 Settled in midfield around 3 wide through to straight. Kept on evenly to the finish.
10 12 SHOW BRAVELY (CB388) G Schofield B Began fairly and eased to rear sections towards the outside. Switched out to find running turning for home but made no impression in straight.
11 2 BORN TO WIN (BP010) K C Tsang B Ridden along to race in better than midfield 3 wide. Moved up to join leader when turning for home. Unable to quicken in straight and further weakened inside final 200 M.
12 14 CHUK WAY (BT268) K T Yeung B Unable to muster early speed to race at back on rail through to straight. Made no impression in straight.
13 5 GOLFING PARTNERS (CB234) G Mosse BO-/B2 Began well from wide draw but was soon taken back to a rearward position closer to rail. Difficult to settle in the early stages. Found nothing in straight and checked to rear after 200 M. (Dropped whip 200 M.)
