8 10 MASTER MARAUDER (CA184) H W Lai -- Pressed forward out of the gates. Settled 2-wide and raced a length off the lead in the middle stages. Moved up to be alongside the leader at the bend and took over the lead on straightening. Headed near 200 M and steadily faded.
9 1 CITY SURFER (CG129) G Mosse -- Settled 2-wide at midfield. Pressured on straightening but lacked the needed response. Stayed on same pace to the line.
10 12 GO GO VICTORY (CE097) W M Lai SR Raced prominently behind the leader until home straight. Unable to quicken and weakened closing stages.
