3 13 MIRACLE DRAGON (CD254) F Coetzee B2 Ordinary jump, ridden along to take a midfield spot in running line, raced 2-wide 5 to 6Ls off speed, not harmed by position, back in traffic turning in, clear from 250 M and made many lengths late for 3rd.
4 1 MAIN ATTRACTION (CB218) Y T Cheng V Away well, held a more prominent role 1 out 1 back 2Ls behind leaders, followed even tempo to bend, closed steadily at same speed in straight to make frame.
5 5 CHARMING SPEEDY (CE186) C W Wong B/TT Out with rest, hard ridden to hold a spot in midfield on rails 5Ls off pace, had an ideal trip and not asked to bend, got split at 850 M but didn't have another gear and just held ground to line.
6 2 SINOSPIEL (CG003) K L Chui B Moderate break, ended up in midfield racing 2-wide 4 to 5Ls off pace, had a suitable run to bend, a little unbalanced on turning, regathered but produced only a one-paced finish.
7 8 KING OF SPADES (CC056) D Whyte B Tardy to begin, ridden along at tail, made some progress to settle 6Ls off speed in 10th place, enjoyed a soft run on rails, still well back turning, held up to 200 M and only really clear when race was over.
8 9 LUCKY CORDELIA (CD088) W M Lai -- Reasonable break, showed speed to take a spot 3Ls off pace in 2-wide line, suited by tempo and travelled well on bend, urged along turning, lacked a dash but kept on to 100 M before run ended.
9 10 CHALLENGER (CE138) G Mosse TT Restrained from outset, ended up trailing field 9 to 10Ls off speed, helped by even pace, still had field to beat on turning, switched out and passed a few but gave too great a start.
10 14 A BETTER DRAGON (CC329) H K Yim TT Amongst first few to jump, took up spot 2Ls back on rails trailing speed, tracked at a reasonable pace to bend, eased into clear but run ended at 200 M and weakened thereafter.
11 11 DANSING FUN (CE202) M Nunes B First to hit ground, challenged for lead, kept pressure on at an even pace when unable to cross, did work to bend, run took toll at 200 M and dropped out tamely.
12 4 GLOBAL WAY (CG158) D Nikolic V/TT Showed plenty of early pace, held lead on rails but worried throughout, shaded on circle and kicked back on turning, had no answer when tackled at 200 M and weakened late.
13 7 A PLUS FIT (CD013) H W Lai B Even getaway but failed to muster, urged along in a rearward post, raced 8Ls back on rails, had a quiet trip to bend, made only moderate progress in straight.
