1 7 MASCOT FORTUNE (CH221) B Prebble XB1 Slowly into stride, regathered to hold a midfield position on rails only 3 to 4Ls back, settled well and had run of race to turn, made steady ground between horses and picked up nicely last 200 M to overhaul them with ease.
2 4 ONE WORLD (CH133) D Whyte H1 Ordinary getaway, pressed on to race 3 wide challenging for front, had a tough run on circle, 1/2L down turning, challenged again at 400 M and fought on strongly getting the better of all but winner.
3 9 OUR LUCKY BABY (CH187) W M Lai -- Reasonable break, didn't have pace to cross, raced 3 wide in midfield 3Ls back with cover, came 4 wide on circle to be 1L down turning, hit front at 250 M but run came to an end at 100 M.
4 8 ONE TOUCH (CH199) E Saint-Martin -- Out with rest, eased out of early speed battle, raced behind midfield 4 to 5Ls back in running line, eased wide on turn, came to middle and progressed well last 300 M to make frame. Definite improvement to come.
5 2 MISSION (CH073) C W Wong -- Began well but lost spot when crowded, raced near to last 7Ls back on rails, still well back on turning in, had an impossible job to do but rallied well in straight making up many lengths to be nearest on line.
6 11 STRIKING MASCOT (CH154) K L Chui -- Awkwardly away, settled behind midfield 5 to 6Ls back on fence, had a quiet trip to bend, in behind horses but switched out at 300 M and made some late ground without threatening.
7 3 SUPREME GOLD (CH205) H W Lai -- Out well, had enough pace to hold rails near to lead, shaded throughout but pushed through to keep them out to turn, levelled up on turning in, soon under pressure and faded out of it late.
8 1 JOLLY WONGCHOY (CH076) F Coetzee -- Fastest into stride, pressed on and challenged for front, led field 2 wide but unable to cross, worked throughout and held a narrow advantage turning in, couldn't dash again turning in and gradually lost touch in straight.
9 5 FORTUNE GALLOP (CH191) M Nunes CP1 Away well, took up a prominent spot 1 out 1 back, had an even trip on speed, close enough on turning in, began to struggle at 400 M and dropped out tamely from 300 M.
10 10 SOU MA TAM (CH253) Y T Cheng -- Even break, pushed forward and took a spot behind pace 3Ls back 2 to 3 wide, raced keenly on bend, still green in straight, made little impression and run ended at 200 M.
11 6 KINGSTON TEMPLE (CH234) K S Yu -- Tardy to begin, raced detached at tail 12Ls or more back, gradually lost touch on circle, beaten a long way.
