5 9 MOSHI MOSHI (CG255) D Beadman CP1/TT Began awkwardly then lost further ground when buffeted. Was checked near the 1000 M and settled behind midfield 1 off with cover. Took inside runs in the straight and despite being briefly held up near the 400 M, closed off soundly.

8 3 MY LUCK (CE256) G Boss B1/XB1 Raced 1 off midfield with cover, searched for runs through the field but was off the bridle and failed to run on.

10 11 TREASURE PLANET (CG117) W M Lai XB/H Couldn't match the early tempo and was made use of to obtain a forward position behind the leader. In the middle stages hung out, shortly after entering the home straight commenced to give ground.
11 12 MR FLOODLIGHT (CG257) S Dye B Raced in last position, wide and ridden along to keep in touch for most of the trip. When under pressure over the last 300 M showed little.
12 10 MAINLAND MASTER (CG044) C K Tong TT From a wide barrier raced in a forward position 3-wide and without cover. In the early stages hung in and did not travel comfortably. Near the 500 M carried 4-wide, shortly after this gave ground and was well beaten.
