2 1 DIM SUM (CH226) G Boss CP Out in line, positioned in midfield 4Ls back in running line, had a suitable run throughout, made a strong run down middle in straight to take a clear 2nd last 100 M.
3 5 ULTRA FANTASY (CG311) D Whyte B Began well, took a forward role outside lead 2Ls back, raced on a solid speed throughout, same margin down on turning, kept coming to hit lead briefly at 100 M before being overhauled.
4 9 MAVERICK STAR (CE279) Y T Cheng -- Slow into stride, ended up 6Ls back on rails, suited by fast pace, had job to do on bend, switched out and made many lengths last 300 M to finish a remarkable 4th.
5 2 GALLANT LION (CG243) G Mosse H Moderate jump, ended up 4 to 5Ls away on fence behind midfield, rails biased against but saved ground in mid-section, stuck to ordinary ground on inside but closed race off nicely nevertheless to be nearest on line.
6 6 NORMAN INVADER (CJ231) K L Chui TT Began well enough, assumed 1 out 1 back spot, difficult to settle early but relaxed in mid-section, 2 to 3Ls down on turning, lacked usual sprint and only held ground in run to line.
7 11 NOBLE MAN (CC099) M Nunes -- No early pace, settled back until last few 2 wide 6Ls away, aided by a solid pace, in an impossible spot turning, did make some late headway down centre without threatening.
8 10 CANNONISE (CD377) W M Lai B/TT Fast into stride, pushed on to take up running, kept speed honest racing 2Ls clear, still held advantage turning and defied them to 200 M, folded soon after when emptied.
9 3 SUPERIOR UNIT (CJ045) B Prebble CP1/TT First to hit ground, led early before racing behind leader, had ideal run despite solid pace, inside track bias harmed chances but was a spent force by 300 M and faded out. ("Raced flat".)
10 7 LUCKYME (CH012) C K Tong TT Began in line, drifted back to race 6Ls back in 2 wide line, aided by solid pace, still well back on turning, failed to close off.
11 4 ALWAYS GIGGLE (CG086) M Du Plessis B Restrained from a wide alley, couldn't slot in and forced to race 3 wide without cover 6Ls back, used reserves to bend, didn't finish off straight.
