2 3 QUALITY-QUALITY (CE250) B Doyle -- Settled 2-wide, midfield with cover. Peeled out turning for home to follow the winner through, but couldn't make up the deficit, despite running on well.
3 9 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) K T Yeung SR In the early stages travelled 3-wide and without cover before crossing to be joint leader near the 600 M. Kicked strongly over the concluding stages to finish in the frame.
4 6 SWEET BABY (CG294) W C Marwing B Whilst being taken back in the early stages was crowded for room and raced in last position. Finished off smartly from well back.
5 7 WITHALLMYHEART (CE268) H W Lai TT Worked forward to be prominent early before receiving a steady near the 1200 M and eventually settling 3 back on the fence. Stayed on satisfactorily over the concluding stages.
6 5 CLOVIS (CH044) D Whyte XB/H Tracked the leader along the rails, had no excuses.

8 11 LEADER (CG012) C W Wong SR Settled in about 3rd last spot, 1 to 2-wide with cover. Made reasonable ground out wide in the straight.
9 12 SILVER WRAITH (CE178) M W Leung B After being caught wide early, was allowed to stride forward and take up the lead passing the 1200 M. Was quickly caught early in the straight and faded in the run to the line.
10 4 ALL OUR WAY (CE217) E Saint-Martin XB-/B Travelled in 2nd last position on the rails. Didn't have a lot of room close to the wire, while running on fairly.
11 10 AMBITIOUS OWNER (CJ106) M Du Plessis B/TT Held the lead initially along the fence, but began to overrace. Continued to race keenly after being crossed near the 1200 M, then raced 1 out 1 back passing the 600 M, before tiring in the run to line.
12 8 HARRY HARRY (CD019) G Mosse B/XB Didn't show a great deal of early pace and was permitted to settle towards the back of the field. Failed to close off. (See Racing Incidents.)
