4 3 SPIRIT OF LO PAN (CH140) G Mosse B 3-wide no cover throughout, better than midfield between 2Ls and 3Ls from the pace through to final 400 M, one-paced to wind up. (Questioned.)
5 9 KING OF SHAVER (CH041) M L Yeung B On rails with the run of the race in 2nd or 3rd right until the home straight, very one-paced and no excuses for not doing better.
6 4 STEEL NERVES (CG320) Z Purton B In 6th about 3Ls or 4Ls from the speed until the home straight, held up a little but was outpaced by the principals in the final furlong anyway.

8 12 ACCELERATOR (CG179) W M Lai CP/XB/TT Midfield about 4Ls behind leaders at 1200 M and similar off last bend, never looked likely to improve his position significantly.
9 2 MAJESTIC HEART (CH319) O Doleuze B On rails and close up in 4th at 1200 M, 2Ls down in 5th and in need of a gap into homestretch, never found clear running room and not fully tested.
10 8 STORM'S DESTINY (CJ260) C W Wong SR Worst to break, 5-back on rails at least 5Ls or 6Ls from the speed throughout and never at all dangerous.
