2 9 DIVINE TOUCH (CG291) G Mosse P/TT Travelled behind midfield, settling 2 deep with cover. Ran on smartly.
3 4 ASALI VICTORY (CJ304) Y T Cheng -- From a wide alley was able to park outside the leader. Gave plenty under vigorous riding to hold its position in the frame.
4 2 KINGSTON MARBLE (CE244) W M Lai B Throughout the race, travelled wide and without cover right behind the speed. Kept on gamely in the straight.
5 6 EXPLODING (CH046) Z Purton XB/H Raced 2 deep, midfield with cover. Had to be checked at the 800 M, and after regaining its balance, forged to the line soundly without threatening.
6 7 SPEED FIGHTER (CD355) H W Lai B Tracked the leader along the fence. Had every possible hope.
7 11 GALLANT MASTER (CJ255) C K Tong -- Jumped awkwardly but managed to spear along to the inside to settle midfield the fence. Railed up in the run home and got to the wire only fairly.
8 5 FLORAL IMAGE (CK027) K L Chui TT Began awkwardly and travelled in last position with cover. Made some late ground in the straight.
9 8 WINNING FIRST (CJ120) D Beadman H/TT Proved difficult to settle in the early stages, camping 1 out 1 back. Failed to close off.
10 10 SIR LAGO (CH268) S K Sit B Raced 2 deep with cover, midfield. Battled away in the run to the post.
11 3 MAGIC TURBO (CJ098) B Doyle SR Ridden along early to take up a forward position but didn't muster, settling 3-wide with cover midfield. Only travelled fairly and in the straight failed to close off.
12 1 COOL CAT (CH330) B Prebble XB/CP1/TT Raced in 2nd last position, 1 off with cover. Never competitive. (See Racing Incident.)
