3 8 ACHILLES OF TROY (CJ190) O Doleuze TT Standard jump, ended up 8Ls back in running line, helped by solid pace in mid-section, saved ground turning, closed race off best late to take placing.
4 9 SUNSHINE BOY (CJ281) W M Lai -- Away in line, ended up 5Ls away in midfield on rails, not used in run and took short cuts to bend, kept coming nicely along inside final 200 M to make frame.
5 5 BROTHERS IN ARMS (CJ070) Z Purton -- Began with rest, forced to angle into midfield to be in 2 wide line, raced 5Ls off solid pace, in clear running from 350 M, closed gradually without threatening.
6 12 DANZULU (CJ069) Y T Cheng CP Moderate jump, ridden up to race 9Ls away in 2 wide line, always in rear division and aided by strong pace, in impossible spot turning, made many lengths in straight to be nearest on line.
7 10 FAT CHOY ICHIBAN (CJ063) J Victoire -- Checked soon after jump and was at rear on settling, was 10Ls from top end in mid-section but helped by solid speed, still sharing rear turning, made some even progress in straight.
8 7 WINDICATOR RETURNS (CJ191) B Doyle H Amongst first to jump, went forward to take up running, set a solid speed in front, challenged on bend, kept kicking to 250 M, but couldn't respond and dropped off thereafter.
9 14 SUPER PLUS (CJ090) M W Leung B Began in line, ridden forward soon after start to take up spot outside leader, did work in mid-section with genuine tempo, levelled up turning, drifted out under pressure at 300 M, tired when run ended 200 M.
10 11 VALUE CHOICE (CG213) M Du Plessis B Moderate beginning and didn't muster, ended up further back than usual 10Ls or so off pace, shared rear on bend, made a brief effort 3 wide leaving bend, never really fired.
11 13 GREEN SUPER (CJ103) H W Lai -- Standard jump and was ridden along to hold position 5Ls away on rails, helped by strong speed on, well back turning, made no real impression.
12 6 HAPPY WIN (CJ239) M L Yeung -- Began evenly positioned 4Ls back in running line, 3 wide on bend, struggling turning in, failed to produce and was beaten a long way in straight.
13 1 MACHO EXPRESSO (CH261) E Saint-Martin B Began well, positioned nicely 3Ls back behind pace trio, travelled evenly to bend, didn't quicken when asked at 300 M and stopped quickly inside 200 M. Eased down late.
14 2 KING ACRYLIC (CG295) S K Sit B/TT Jumped only fairly, ridden along but became gradually detached, continued to struggle throughout and was beaten a long way.
