2 5 KAISER'S CHOIX (CE305) W C Marwing XB Moderate jump. Pressed on to hold a midfield position 2 to 3 Ls off the pace 900 M out through to home turn. Picked up well on straightening and looked threatening 150 M out but unable to run down rival late.
3 1 DR WELL (CD165) M Chadwick -- Best away. Soon taken to the rails racing prominently behind the pace. Took the lead 900 M out. Hung onto lead until 300 M, ran on for 3rd.
4 2 MAJESTIC HEART (CH319) B Prebble V Began awkwardly, settled 2-wide and 6Ls back in 8th at 800 M, 3Ls off swinging for home. Ran on well in the finish but couldn't get to leading trio.
5 11 GRAND GENERAL (CJ113) C K Tong CP Broke slowly, 2-wide and 4Ls back in 6th at 1100 M. Closer and travelling well entering home straight. Finished off just fairly.
6 3 MIGHTY SUN (CK058) P H Lo -- Jumped reasonably. Slotted into 2-wide position 2Ls off the speed at 1200 M. Shifted out to be 3-wide approaching the bend going forward. Remained one-paced in the straight.
7 6 BIG KAHUNA (CG177) Z Purton B Slowest out, raced along the rails 7Ls off the leader at 1000 M. Made some progress down the inside on straightening but weakened in the final 50 M.
8 10 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) M W Leung B2 Slowly away and always in rear at least 8Ls off pace until 800 M, 5Ls down off the last turn. Made a moderate late bid down centre of track.
9 8 BEST NOODLE (CJ278) K L Chui TT Bumped upon jumping. Failed to muster speed and raced 2-wide in a rearward position. Pressed on 600 M out but lacked a finish in the straight.
10 12 EMBRACES (CH175) M Du Plessis B Switched inside from widest gate and trailed field. A little closer making home turn. Made some minor late ground past beaten rivals.
11 7 FRIENDSHIP (CE066) S K Sit -- Quickly into stride, driven to lead until after 1000 M. 2-wide and a length off the lead back straight. Hard ridden at 400 M and faded quickly in the home straight.
12 4 FLORAL PICASSO (CJ225) H W Lai P-/B1/TT Unable to work across from a wide draw and eased to travel wide without cover for most of the race. Dropped out soon after straightening.
