2 7 PRESTO (CJ048) D Whyte -- Standard break, ended up 5Ls or so away near to last on rails, harmed by slow sections, saved ground on bend, weaved between horses in straight and closed nicely to snare 2nd late.
3 10 WEI HAI INVINCIBLE (CH258) J Winks CP/TT First to jump, went forward but posted 3 wide without cover throughout, 2Ls away on bend aided by slow pace, kept on respectably in straight to hold a place.
4 1 HAPPY ZERO (CK079) D Beadman H Amongst first few out, took sit in ideal spot 1 out 1 back 2Ls away, travelled keenly in run, held up from turning to 250 M, lacked usual dash when clear and just held ground late to make frame.
5 5 WIN PRACTITIONER (CG180) C K Tong CP- Steadied to rear, raced 6Ls or so away at tail, chances harmed by slow speed, still last on turning, lengthened nicely final 300 M to make good progress late and be nearest on line.
6 14 LOCAL POWER (CH296) W M Lai -- Fair to jump, posted 4 wide without cover 4Ls away in midfield, set impossible task to bend, kept giving despite workload and peaked on efforts at 150 M. (Dropped whip at 250 M.)
7 3 KING ENCOSTA (CG247) E Saint-Martin TT Began with more purpose, settled in a good spot 3Ls away in running line trailing favourite, had fair run to bend, just kept on evenly behind them to 100 M when run ended.
8 12 LUMINOUS (CE300) T H So -- Began well, ended up with box seat position on leaders back, used little to bend with steady pace on, lacked extra gear when they sprinted inside 400 M, plugged away late.
9 11 FLORAL EL CUENTO (CJ241) O Doleuze B1/TT- Out in line, unable to slot in and travelled 3 wide in midfield with cover, 4Ls back to bend, in clear running from 400 M, no extra final 200 M.
10 2 TOM'S SIX (CG264) G Mosse B Standard break, drifted back to race 3 wide in rear division 5Ls off slow pace, disadvantaged in mid-section, well back turning, only beat tired horses in run to line.
11 9 SOLAR MIGHTY (CH124) M L Yeung B/TT Ordinary jump, ended up 3Ls back on fence, enjoyed easy time to bend with steady pace, lacked turn of foot in straight, weakened out final 200 M.
12 8 FULL PACK (CJ312) W C Marwing -- No pace from outset, positioned 5Ls away and 4 wide for most of journey, had trail on circle, well back turning, made no serious impression in straight.
13 13 MEDIC FORTUNE (CK057) K C Leung B1 Got back early, raced keenly 5Ls away in 2 wide line, still well back and shifted out at 400 M, lacked a finish and just struggled final furlong. (Blood in trachea.)
14 4 DOUBLE LUCK (CH239) B Prebble -- Even break, trapped 4 wide from an awkward alley, pressed on and did work to race outside leader, got breather with steady speed to bend, didn't respond at 400 M, dropped out easily. (Unbalanced in action).
