3 4 WIND KNIGHT (CJ326) D Whyte SR Was taken back in the early stages, settling last. Began to improve after the 700 M, came 3-wide passing the 500 M, closing off smartly.
4 12 SUPER SPECIAL (CE225) J Lloyd H/TT Settled behind midfield on the rails. Commenced to close off strongly however was held up until about the 200 M, raced to the line strongly once in the clear.
5 2 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) O Doleuze B Raced up with he front runners early before being hampered near the 1000 M, settling off the speed 2-wide with cover. Was pushed to stay in touch prior to being crossed near the 500 M, then travelled 3 back. Whacked away at the same pace
6 7 WING MASTER (CK258) Y T Cheng TT Travelled midfield 3-wide with cover. Was left racing without cover after the 500 M, however got to the line well.
7 9 TOUT VA BIEN (CJ020) M Du Plessis P/TT Bounded in the air at the start and lost ground settling 3rd last the fence. Railed up in the straight, was held up until the 200 M, closed off soundly.
8 1 TRUE INTELLIGENCE (CK060) K T Yeung -- Ridden along early from an outside draw to settle as joint leader. Was gassed over the final stages.
9 6 HONEST TREASURE (CE200) P H Lo B/H1/TT Assumed the lead near the 800 M along the paint. Was pressured for most of the trip by a runner to its outside, fading in the run home.
10 5 GLITTERING (CJ343) K C Leung -- Led early from stall 1, commenced to hang and shift out approaching the first turn and was crossed near the 800 M settling about 3 off the lead. Continued to hang out for the majority of the race, struggled in the straight.
11 8 WINNING STRATEGY (CJ353) C W Wong -- Went forward from a wide gate but was severely checked near the 1000 M, never recovered, hung out and proved difficult to ride, finishing well back.
12 11 METRO RIDER (CJ264) J Winks XB-/H Prominently placed early from an outside alley, however was badly hampered near the 1000 M. Raced 3-wide without cover before rolling in to race 1 off the fence near the 500 M. compounded in the straight.
