4 11 ISTIDE (CJ089) M L Yeung TT Fast out, worked to take up running from widest gate, set a standard tempo, hung on bend and drifted out turning, stayed on well to make frame.
5 9 CHATER D'CAT (CK119) W C Marwing TT Average jump, ended up 5Ls back 3 wide with cover, improved on bend and came 4 wide turning, made gradual progress to be nearest on line.
6 12 CHIEF WITNESS (CJ219) K L Chui TT Began with first few, taken to rails and trailed first 3 2Ls back, easy run to bend, kept on behind them without threatening.
7 13 TELECOM GOGO (CJ346) J Lloyd B No early speed, drifted back and settled behind midfield, raced 4 to 5Ls back in running line, fair run to bend, kept on in straight making late headway.
8 14 DASH AHEAD (CD199) T H So CP Faded back to rear soon after start, 7Ls or so away, pace didn't suit in mid-section, made some late ground.

10 7 HAPPY MASTER (CE050) G Mosse SR-/CP1 Began with rest, ended up midfield or slightly worse 3 wide, still 4Ls down on turning, made a brief challenge but didn't go on final furlong.
11 8 YUE LU TREASURE (CJ184) B Prebble CP-/B1 Standard jump, posted 4 wide without cover 5Ls back, had a tough run throughout, 2 to 3Ls down turning, faded when petrol ran out.
12 10 MASCOT FORTUNE (CH221) Y T Cheng -- Lost ground early, shared rear 7Ls from top end, had field to beat turning, no real progress and just passed tired ones late.
