3 10 DARPANA (CK256) W C Marwing B/TT Made its run from behind midfield the fence. Closed off well after navigating a course through other runners over about the last 300 M.
4 11 LINKED WIN (CL042) M L Yeung B Camped 1 out 1 back. Lost a length near the 600 M. Peeled out near the furlong and ran on soundly to hit the frame.
5 3 MAKE IT (CL139) J Lloyd CP Copped a check at the start settling worse than midfield 1 off with cover. Loomed as a chance at the furlong but peaked on its run well short of the line.
6 12 SLEEPCARE (CK336) G Cheyne -- Settled about 3 back the fence. Had every chance, battled away one paced in the final stretch.
7 9 GOOD SMILE (CK360) H W Lai -- Worked forward to cross and sit outside the leader 2 deep. Maintained an even gallop right to the finish.
8 5 LUCKY TYCOON (CH318) M Guyon B Was taken back to last position from the outside alley. Peeled out early in the run home and found the line fairly down the outside.
9 7 FORTUNE GENERAL (CM039) D Whyte -- From a wide gate was taken back and at the 1000 M was left racing wide and without cover. Was taken back further to obtain cover near 600 M & raced near the rear of the field. Made good ground in the straight.
10 8 QUANTUM POWER (CM134) Z Purton -- Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and after the 600 M, was left racing 3-wide without cover behind the leading division. Offered little in the run home. (See incident report.)
11 6 EAGLE STAR (CK331) W M Lai B1/TT- Not the best away, settling with the backmakers 3-wide with cover. Struggled in the final stretch.
