2 10 MOUNT VICTORY (CL033) G Cheyne B-/XB1 Landed in 2nd last position, 1 off with cover. Came with a strong run down the outside of the field.
3 9 FELAROF (CM175) M Chadwick TT Camped 1 out 1 back. Stayed on reasonably well after having every chance.
4 3 SOLAR BOY (CL213) T H So B2 Speared forward from an outside alley and took up leading duties on the rails. Kicked a length clear near the 350m, faded over the final stages.
5 4 GILDED FLIGHT (CH294) Y T Cheng CP Taken back from a wide gate to settle with the backmakers along the fence. Was taken out into a 3 wide position with cover after the 1100m. Swung widest on the home turn, made some ground late.
6 7 JUGGERNAUT (CJ019) K C Leung B/XB Settled 3 back the fence with cover. Battled away in the run home staying on one paced.
7 5 VANQUISH DELIGHT (CJ257) C K Tong -- Settled near the rear of the field after being severely checked near the 1300m. Got pulling near the 1000m, travelling 3 wide without cover. Never likely.
8 12 TREASURE GLITTER (CM031) K C Ng B1 Hampered at the start then ridden along, copping a check near the 1300m, settling behind midfield the paint. Never let down at the business end.
9 8 MUSTANG (CK351) B Prebble H/P Rated behind midfield 1 off with cover. Came under heavy pressure passing the 500m, but failed to keep in touch and only plodded to the line.
10 1 HIGH COMMAND (CL390) B Doyle TT Cruised across to race outside the leader in 2nd position. Found nothing when asked for an effort turning for home.
11 6 WINNING PAL (CJ138) O Doleuze B/TT Slow to begin then was crowded soon after the start, settling last along the fence. Failed to close off weakening noticeably inside the final furlong. (see incident report)
12 11 NICKU (CK389) H W Lai TT Enjoyed the run of the race tracking the leader. Was a beaten horse early in the straight & struggled thereafter.
