4 7 RED LUCKY STAR (CM074) B Prebble XB1/TT Parked just ahead of midfield, 1 off with cover. Looked an each way hope early in the straight when placed under hard riding, finished off evenly.
5 8 SILVER DRAGON (CM326) T Angland B Settled midfield, about 3 deep had some cover on the circle. Kept on steadily in the run home.

8 12 CHINA GOOD (CL258) H W Lai SR Raced worse than midfield, 3 deep with cover. Came wide in the straight but failed to close off.
9 4 BULLISH BOY (P008) M Chadwick TT Raced 3 wide early on the speed, eventually took up 2nd position outside the leader, no cover. Was under pressure after the 400m, weakened over the latter stages.
10 9 FANTASTICO (P178) C K Tong -- Copped a bad check early, settling at the rear of the field, 3 deep with cover. Never recovered and finished well back.
11 1 VICTORY GENERAL (CL396) T Clark B/XB Posted on the speed, 3 deep without cover for most of the journey. Conceded ground easily in the home straight.
12 3 PROSPEROUS WIN (N377) C Y Ho B Raced in last position, some lengths from the body of the field near the rail. Failed to respond at any stage to riders efforts and struggled for most of the trip.
