5 9 FLYING SUPREME (CK226) H W Lai B Camped ahead of midfield, 3 wide with cover. Kept on evenly in the run to the line.
6 1 AFRICA LIGHT (N030) J Moreira B/TT Couldn't go early, settling well back in the field, on the fence with cover. Ran into traffic problems in the straight, finished off reasonably over the last 100m.
7 5 TRIUMPHANT DRAGON (P078) M L Yeung B/H Stalked the leader on the fence. Was badly held up until passing the furlong, finished off soundly after switching out into the clear.
8 3 CONFUCIUS ELITE (N381) N Callan SR Settled 1 out 1 back. Held up early in the straight, never did much once into clear running.
9 6 GORGEOUS LIFE (CK327) K C Leung B/XB/TT Did plenty of work to go forward to travel prominently, 3 deep without cover on the circle. Faded over the concluding stages.
