8 3 EL ZONDA (CK132) K C Ng TT Began OK, taken to outer fence but got shuffled back to near rear. Under hard riding from 400m and under whip 250m but only one-paced.

10 11 VITAL FLYER (CK373) H W Lai B Began OK, ridden along down centre track behind midfield. Under whip entering course proper but found nothing and faded. Not ridden out final stages.
