4 10 SECRET CODE (S229) M L Yeung H/TT Jumped OK, ridden but not much speed, settling behind midfield 5L from leader. Switched out wide in straight to get run and ran on steadily.

10 7 NEWSWIRE FREE (S407) G Mosse -- Ridden to hold forward position but held wide without cover three-back from leader. Continued to race wide around turn and into straight turning one-paced. Lame right hind.
11 6 ONE MORE WORLD (S430) J Moreira H Began well, ridden along between horses three-back from leader. Had every chance entering straight before tightened 100m out, boxed on. Found to be lame right front.
12 14 DOUBLE DRAGON (CK019) K C Leung B Hard ridden from an awkward draw to lead on settling before crossing to fence. Set strong pace to 350m when collared and faded quickly.
13 12 THE PALADIN (T328) C Y Ho H1/P1 Jumped fairly, shifted across behind runners from an outside draw, settling a distant last. Well back entering straight and never competitive.
14 9 SHANGHAI BOND (P263) H W Lai B1/TT1 Began well, battling for early lead before restrained, settling three-back from leader along fence. Started to give ground on straightening and finished tailed off. Unacceptable performance.
