3 9 HAPPY ROCKY (S147) B Prebble CP/TT Began well, eased and taken back, settling at rear in one-off position. Had to switch in and out early in straight before getting run 200m, finished strongly.
4 2 INDUSTRIALIST WAY (S023) K C Ng TT Bumped start, ridden vigorously but failed to muster, racing 3-wide behind midfield to straight. Kept on well under hard riding.
5 12 LOTUS STRIKES BACK (T145) G Benoist B-/V1 No early speed and held three-wide at rear along back stretch. Urged forward around turn, wide in straight, kept on well to line.
6 13 HOLMES LEGEND (N375) H N Wong H Jumped well but slow to muster, dropping to rear before picking up speed wide without cover from 1400m. Wide into straight, boxed on gamely.
7 14 SMILING WATCH (CM325) C Y Ho B/H Bumped start, then steadied shortly after when crowded, dropping behind midfield between horses. Kept on steadily in straight without making ground.
8 3 ALLCASH (T195) R Fourie B-/TT Ridden to hold rail, unbalanced 1600m before settling 3-back from leader. Switched out turning for home, kept on well to 200m before tiring and dropping back.
9 5 FORMULA WON (P183) G Mosse TT Beaten for early speed and last on settling. Still last passing 400m before making ground between horses final stages.
10 8 ASHKIYR (P151) J Moreira -- Ridden along from inside draw but unable hold off pacemakers, dropping 4-back from leader. Improved around turn but held up early in straight. Found little when clear.
11 10 PRINCE FALCON (T144) Y T Cheng -- Shifted across behind runners from wide draw, settling at rear along fence. Made some progress around turn but one-paced in straight.
12 11 AUTUMN GOLD (P044) Z Purton -- Pressed forward but wide before eased 1500m, settling one-back, one-off. Rolled forward to challenge 400m but ran out of stamina and faded quickly from 200m.
13 4 CHATER DREAM (P117) C Schofield B- Began well, settling in box seat. Switched out top of straight to make run but found nothing and faded quickly. Substantial amount of blood in trachea.
14 7 TODOS CON SUERTE (P350) H W Lai V Hard ridden from an outside draw to lead on settling, then tried to slow pace approaching turn. Collared soon after straightening and faded. Bled from both nostrils.
