3 12 MASQUERADER (N234) H W Lai B/TT Jumped with field, ridden but didn't muster, dropping to rear. Held position around turn, swung wide into straight, ran on strongly under the whip.
4 11 AMAZING ALWAYS (N432) K K Chiong B/TT Bumped on jumping, no pace, dropping to last before turn. Well back entering straight, taken to centre track, kept on well.
5 2 SILVER GATSBY (T161) K C Ng B/TT Ridden forward to find cover, bumped 1000m, then held 3-wide in midfield. Put under pressure on straightening and boxed on gamely.
6 8 RUMINARE (V086) G Mosse -- Away quickly, holding rail before settling in box seat. Bumped and unbalanced top of straight, boxed on to 200m before tiring.

9 3 NO LAUGHING MATTER (V032) G Lerena B1/TT1 Began awkwardly, bumped and unbalanced, bumped again 1000m. Crowded 900m, tightened 600m, checked 350m. Boxed on.
10 6 EXTREMELY FUN (T024) E da Silva B/SR Hard ridden to lead on settling, then slowed pace. Overtaken passing 250m and faded. Had substantial amount of mucus in trachea.
11 5 HOT HOT PEPPER (V026) N Rawiller -- Pressed forward from outside draw, settling 1L behind leader. Bumped and taken out 400m, checked 200m when giving ground. Minor wound on right hind paster.
12 9 WILD FIVE (V103) N Callan H Crowded out start, pressed forward but held wide without cover 2L from leader. Severely checked top of straight and faded. Had substantial amount of blood and mucus in trachea.
