3 8 BUDDY BUNDY (T157) C Schofield B/TT Jumped well, hard ridden to hold fence inside pacemakers, gradually working to the front passing 600m. Kicked ahead entering straight but swamped final 50m.
4 10 FLYING FORCE (V014) D Whyte H/XB/TT Jumped with field but outpaced, settling behind midfield along rail. Improved turning for home but no clear run up the straight and not properly tested concluding stages.
5 3 MR RIGHT (T334) K C Leung H/P Pushed along three-wide from jump, racing outside leader before eased back to 3rd 600m but without cover. Kept on gamely to 100m before flattened.
6 11 OCEAN ROAR (N317) K K Chiong -- Hard ridden to lead soon after jump but passed by another 600m taking the sit. Put under pressure turning for home, kept on well to 100 before tiring.
7 12 FIVE STARS AGENT (V001) M L Yeung H Began well, restrained, shifted across behind runners, settling in one-off position towards rear. Switched out entering straight and ran on fairly.
8 7 GRACYDAD (V200) T H So H Ridden didn't muster, dropping back last but one. Put under pressure on straightening, switched out abruptly 200m to get run, kept on fairly.
9 9 TOP BONUS (T132) J Moreira -- Bumped start, pressed forward 4-wide outside pacemakers, but eased to 4th 800m. Bumped, unbalanced and taken wider 550m, widest into straight, one-paced.
10 6 GOLDEN SUN (V187) G Lerena TT1 Slow into stride and distant last on settling. Trailed field to straight before running past beaten horses.
11 5 EXCEL ONESELF (P287) H N Wong H Quickly out, sharing early pace before settling 5th, 2L from leader at 800m. Found little in straight and gave ground quickly. Irregular heart rhythm, substantial amount of mucus in trachea.
12 4 EASY TOUCH (V269) Z Purton TT1 Jumped OK, rolled forward but hard to settle passing 600m. Shifted out 550m, still hard to settle and eased down, finishing tailed off. Unacceptable performance.
