3 2 TIMELY ARRIVED (S431) H N Wong B Began well, vigorously ridden to lead 1050m before crossing to fence. Under pressure turning for home, overtaken 200m, battled on gamely.

6 8 LANSBURY (T164) K Teetan -- Jumped OK, not pushed, settling along rail 4L from leader. Stayed on rail around turn and ran on fairly in straight without looking dangerous.
7 1 SKYROCKETS (T096) N Callan P-/XB1 Jumped with field, not pushed, racing behind midfield in one-off position. Ran into a dead-end top of straight when attempting to improve, then one-paced.
8 4 NOBLE ALPHA (CM339) M Chadwick P Began fairly, outpaced, dropping to rear in one-off position. Made up some ground around turn, switched wide in straight, one-paced.
9 11 BEAUTY CONNECTION (T415) J Moreira TT Began well, pressed forward in one-off position to sit 1L behind leader. Eased 600m to get cover but raced fiercely, switched out again to get clear run but didn't finish off.
10 9 LOOKS LIKE THE CAT (T238) C Y Ho TT Began OK but soon outpaced, dropping towards rear along fence. Switched out entering straight to make run but only one-paced.
11 7 TIANHUANG (T303) S Clipperton CP1 Began fairy, then crowded, dropping back. Ridden aggressively but failed to pick up and soon became detached from field. Plodded home. Unacceptable performance. Lame right hind leg.
