2 13 MAGNETISM (V114) J Moreira TT Not pushed hard early, settling 5th, 1 off the fence. Ran solidly in the straight, before kicking at the 150m. Easily clear for 2nd, but only gradually catching winner.
3 5 BEAUTY KINGDOM (T189) K K Chiong B/TT Pushed forward early to have a share of the lead, and racing keenly. Bumped, unbalanced and came off heels 1000m, and raced wide until the turn. Solid to the line, but struggled to make inroads on 1 and 2.
4 11 CARE FREE PRINCE (V069) H W Lai B Went forward early to be prominently placed, eventually settling 2nd, 3/4L off the leader. Shared the lead from the top of the straight, until peaking at the 150m, and dropping away.
5 12 LANSBURY (T164) C Schofield -- Settled midfield, 1 off the fence early. Ran OK in the straight, making up some ground late.
6 2 AVELLINO (T388) N Callan H/CP1 Dropped back early from the wide draw to sit towards the rear of the field. Keen on heels mid race. Raced steadily in the straight, but never threatened.
7 8 RUN FORREST (T176) N Rawiller CP/XB/TT Eased out from barrier 4 to eventually settle midfield, 3 wide. OK in the straight, and picked up some momentum late, but no threat of a place.
8 14 TEAM SWEET (V089) K Teetan H/XB Eased back from the wider draw to settle at the rear of the field, 1 off the fence. Came wider on the turn, and ran steadily to the line.
9 4 THE SHOW (T256) D Whyte B Eased back early, settling towards the rear of the field, 1 off the fence. Only ran on fairly in the straight.
10 3 THUNDER STOMP (V279) Y T Cheng -- Handily positioned early in 4th, on the rail and within striking distance of the leaders. Gave nothing in the straight, and eased out over the last 100m.
11 6 LOTUS BREEZE (T112) B Prebble CP/XB/TT Bumped and unbalanced on jumping. Sat forward of midfield, but stuck 3 wide with no cover. Well positioned at the top of the straight, but only ever 1 paced and dropped out over the last 150m.
12 9 RAGING BULL (S370) C Y Ho H/P Couldn't get in from the wide draw, and stuck 4-5 wide no cover throughout. Didn't have much in the tank by the straight, and dawdled to the line under minimal urging late.
13 10 SUNNY ORIENT (V302) S Clipperton B/H Began awkwardly and dropped back early, before pushing along the rails to sit midfield. Gave nothing at the top of the straight and not persevered with over the last 200m.
14 7 FASHION MAESTRO (S297) Z Purton B/TT Didn't stretch out early, setting at the tail of the field, on the rail. Never in it. Jockey questioned.
