3 11 STARRY STARLIES (T429) W M Lai B Moderate start, improving on the rail when inconvenienced passing the 800 metres, ran on alongside first two holding every chance but unable to peg them back.
4 4 GAINFULJET (V283) Z Purton TT Ridden from the widest gate to lead on the rail, held narrow running round the bend and into straight, broke over half a length clear early in straight but unable to sustain effort and swamped inside the final 150 metres.
5 10 FURIOUS PEGASUS (S441) C Schofield TT Settled just worse than midfield, shuffled further back when wide around home bend, widest runner turning in, produced good impression down the centre of the straight, did best work late.
