2 7 EXCEL DELIGHT (C006) J Moreira H Showed early speed to lead. Raced clear on straightening, maintained over 2 length lead inside last 150m before laying out under pressure & being caught by fast finisher in final few strides.
3 9 SUPREME PATROL (C300) M L Yeung B Raced in midfield in early & middle stages. Ridden along from the 600m, stayed close to the inside on cornering. Moved over heals at the 300m before working home steadily to run into third place in final 100m.
4 4 VIVA COUNCIL (A190) C Wong V Had good run on leaders back throughout. Couldn't go with leader who kicked clear on straightening but battled away ok in concluding stages to hold non-threatening forth.
5 3 STRATHCLYDE (V225) V Borges B/TT Had no early speed despite being hard ridden & drifted back to third last. Shifted wider approaching the home corner when over 5L from lead. Passed a few when making up late ground from rearward position.
6 1 JOYFUL MOMENTS (T134) H N Wong B2 Began awkwardly & lost ground, consequently racing near the rear early. Improved position around runners passing half-way before cornering very wide. Sprinted to second at the 200m before weakening a few lengths thereafter.
7 6 DAILY BEAUTY (D070) B Shinn B/TT Didn't begin fast & soon raced near the tail on the rail. Continued near the back, 5 lengths from the lead on straightening, shifted back towards the rail at the 350m before maintaining margin late. No threat.
8 11 SKY TREASURE (V401) K C Leung H Raced wide without cover just behind lead in early stages before drifting a length further back & getting cover approaching half-way. Held up momentarily on cornering when 3.5L from lead before offering nothing final 300m.
9 10 BLADE RACER (C097) G van Niekerk XB/TT Hard ridden from gate ten to race 4 wide outside the leaders throughout. Peaked on effort soon after straightening & weakened out significantly in the straight.
10 12 AIOLOS (C040) H W Lai B1/TT Steadied & raced keenly when racing 4 wide with cover throughout. Continued very wide around home corner before offering nothing after straightening. Beaten big margin.
11 8 LET'S GO PARTY (D045) M F Poon XB/B1 Steadied & crossed to race near the rear. Relegated back to last approaching half-way. Under pressure when 8L from the lead at the 400m before weakening out further in straight. Beaten long way.
12 5 SOLAR VICTORY (C365) N Callan B- Showed speed after the start to race outside the leader. Came under immediate pressure around the home corner before weakening out very quickly from on straightening. (Must trial).
