2 11 HERO STAR (D033) M F Poon TT Ridden forward after start before crossing to rail when leading near 850m. Gave a nice kick on straightening, held lead until being joined by winner at 100m mark before battling well to only be beaten half length.
3 5 VAMOS (G004) Z Purton H Crowded after the start before shifting to rail behind runners & making ground to midfield. Stayed close to the rail in straight before making good ground in late stages to only be 1L behind on line.
4 2 BINGO BINGO (E451) H Bentley B/TT Drifted back after start to race worse than midfield along rail. Closed off well in the straight to move to 4th place inside final 50m. (Roarer).
5 9 UNIVERSAL CROWN (D240) R Maia B Raced in midfield away from rail throughout. Entered last section 4.5L behind before finishing off only one paced to be beaten about 3L in midfield on line.
6 3 WINNING ICEY (G246) J Moreira TT Steadied after the start & shifted back from widest gate to race second last. Continued well back on straightening before closing off well along the rail in the straight to be beaten 3L after coming from a long way back.
7 10 HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533) C Y Ho V Had a soft run in midfield along the rail throughout. Entered last section only 3L from the lead before weakening a length in the straight to be no threat finishing 4L behind.
8 12 SALUTATION (D497) V Borges P-/SR1/TT Crowded on jumping before being steadied around first bend & racing third last. Moved wider at 400m when 7.5L from the lead before making up a few lengths late when running into midfield from a long way back.
9 6 LORIZ (C036) K C Leung V2 Pushed forward before racing second away from the rail throughout. Came under hard ridding before straightening before weakening out in final furlong to be beaten over 4L. (See report).
10 8 CHARIZARD (B463) L Ferraris B/TT Drifted back after the first corner & raced at the tail. Was a clear last on cornering when around 9L behind & was too far back to be involved.
11 4 SUPER COMMANDER (D350) A Badel B/TT Had a perfect run 1,1 throughout. Eased wider on straightening, only about 3L behind on straightening before weakening poorly to be second last. (Substantial blood in trachea post-race).
12 1 NOWITZKI (G191) C Wong TT Raced worse than midfield away from rail. Was under pressure near the 400m when over 6L from the lead before weakening out poorly in the straight to be long last.
