2 10 GRAND NOVA (J323) H Bowman E Taken across towards rails to settle second last with cover. Switched to centre of track to get clear ground and ran home strongly.
3 13 TALENTS SUPREMO (H133) K C Leung CP/TT Allowed to settled third last and then improved pass 600m between horses. Brought to centre of track to challenge, continued to run on and fought hard for third.
4 1 CHEVAL VALIANT (E336) L Hewitson B/TT Jumped quickly and taken to front before sitting second under a hold. Hit front at 350m headed passing 100m. Just missed third last few strides.
5 5 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) M L Yeung -- Jumped well, allowed to settle midfield on rails, travelled nicely making good ground from 300m. Came across heels at 150m to challenge but soon one paced to finish line.
6 8 FLYING LUCK (J339) C Y Ho -- Hesitated when gates open, settled at rear of field. Dipped at 500m mark. Still last at 350m, made good ground late between horses, held up last 50m between runners.
7 3 AURORA LADY (J066) B Avdulla -- Jumped on terms, followed field across to stand side, sat in second group. Asked for effort passing 400m, under pressure passing 150m and faded last 50m.
8 12 SUPER AXIOM (E105) E C W Wong H/P/TT Ridden hard to lead, but not able to cross to rail. Joined passing half way mark and soon headed. Stayed on but faded last 100m.
9 11 GLORIOUS EXPERT (J028) A Badel CP/TT2 Quickly away and then eased to take sit behind leading group. Ridden along to stay in touch from half way. Stayed on but baulked for run passing 150m.
10 9 LUCKY MAN (J315) K Teetan SR1 Held up behind runners and tight for room passing half way. Switched back to rails to make ground, but soon one-paced passing 200m and failed to run on.
11 4 BLAZING WIND (J157) Y L Chung TT1 Slow to move and pushed along early. Settled midfield between horses. Disappointed for run passing half way and gave ground. Ran home fairly again last 100m.
12 2 SUPERSONIC (J192) B Thompson XB Bounded in air as gates opened but mustered speed to settle worse than midfield. Hard ridden passing half way and failed to make ground, well beaten.
13 14 GUSTY FIGHTER (J029) M Chadwick P-/TT Jumped well, tracked across to settle in second group chasing leaders. Under pressure at 400m and faded in final stages to only beat one home.
14 6 DAY DAY VICTORY (J423) H Bentley XB1 Showed good speed to settle in forward division, under pressure from half way and then lost action when tight on heels of another runner and dropped out.
