2 6 GUMMY GUMMY (H089) R Kingscote CP/TT1 Chased leader 2-wide, moved up to take the lead 250M, joined by eventual winner from 200M, rallied but found the winner a touch too strong at the end. Clear from remainders.
3 12 ARMOUR WAR EAGLE (J039) K Teetan CP/TT Settled down in midfield 4Ls off the good pace, worked home evenly from 400M to go 3rd 150M but wasn't good enough to challenge first two.
4 3 MUST GO (J133) A Atzeni E/PC/TT Began well, restrained to race in midfield 4-5Ls back, worked home one paced final 300M to grab 4th. No threat to first two.
5 4 THUNDER BLAZE (L188) J Orman XB1 Reserved behind midfield along the inside, chased steadily from 400M without threatening first two but wasn't far off 3rd and 4th. Encouraging debut.
6 7 ANOTHER ZONDA (K176) L Hewitson B From draw 12 obtained a midfield position along the 3-path, raced without cover throughout, kept on one paced towards the line.
7 8 CHARMING BABE (J513) D B McMonagle B1 From draw 11 obtained a position behind midfield, 6Ls off leader home turn, responded fairly when brought wide to challenge on straightening. Never a serious threat.
8 2 WONDERSTAR (J531) M Guyon B From draw 1 went forward, tracked leader entering home turn, under the pump 500M before fading out mid-straight. (Jockey and Trainer - did not appreciate racing on the All Weather surface.)
9 1 PERFECT TEAM (H120) A Badel B2/TT Jumped only fairly, given a waiting ride at the rear 8Ls off the good pace, couldn't go on final 400M. Never in the picture.
10 11 CAPTAIN LINK (K515) C Y Ho TT Raced towards the rear, struggled to keep up before home turn, had nothing to offer on straightening and failed to run on.
11 10 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) M Chadwick H/TT Jumped awkwardly, pushed on to the lead setting good pace, headed 250M, no extra closing stages. (Jockey - did not run out the race distance of 1200M.)
12 5 LEAPING STAR (L189) H Bentley -- Jumped only fairly, dropped back to race at the rear, detached from the field 500M and was already beaten turning home.
