2 4 URANUS STAR (K511) L Ferraris XB Bumped at the start, from draw 11 moved up to track leader, all out final 400M but was readily held by the winner who was 4 runs unbeaten.
3 10 SUNNY DA BEST (J118) H Bentley TT Began well from an inside barrier, settled down in midfield along the fence, fought hard passing 400M but was always held by first two.
4 2 LUCKY SAM GOR (K114) C L Chau XB Blundered after the start, settled towards the rear, 5Ls to make up 400M, stayed on steadily to the finish.
5 3 BRILLIANT EXPRESS (J321) H Bowman -- From wide draw taken back to the rear, nearly 10Ls off leader middle stages, still last top of the straight, closed off final 400M fastest but had too much to make up on leaders.
6 5 DO YOU JUST (L094) A Badel H/TT Shared lead early stages before settling down in 3rd, couldn't find extra gear to challenge leaders and was comfortably held.
7 11 CALIFORNIA WAVES (K477) K C Leung B-/XB/V1/TT Jumped awkwardly and lost ground, ended up racing at the rear group, had some work to do top of the straight but couldn't quicken enough.
8 7 ALL'S WELL (K294) C Y Ho TT Bumped after the start, restrained at the rear and caught wide no cover throughout, made only limited progress in the straight and was never dangerous.
9 6 ROMANTIC GLADIATOR (L240) A Atzeni TT Bumped after the start, obtained running in midfield, driven along 500M but not going the pace to challenge, weakened 200M. (Jockey - would be better suited by stepping up in distance.)
10 9 LADY'S LOVE (L220) K Teetan -- Settled towards the rear, in similar position turning for home, ran home only fairly. Never involved.
11 12 LUCKY DOCTOR (L225) M L Yeung H-/XB/TT Sat behind midfield, gave limited response turning home, couldn't sustain run mid-straight then faded to finish last.
