2 11 THRIVING BROTHERS (J396) M Chadwick TT Up with early pace before easing back to race ahead of midfield, had some difficulty obtaining clear running 300M-200M then attacked the line well to be nearest at the finish.
3 3 GOLD PATCH (L099) Z Purton XB Bumped at the start then bustled along to take the lead from draw 11, soon pressed by rival on straightening, lost lead nearing 200M but kept battling to hold 3rd.
4 8 THUNDER ACTION (L314) M L Yeung -- Jumped only fairly, settled towards the rear 7Ls back, kept to inside in the straight, closed off well but couldn't be ridden out to the finish final stages when awkwardly placed. Could do better.
5 12 RISING FROM ASHES (G209) H T Mo XB-/B/TT2 Bumped at the start, from draw 10 dropped back to near last, had some work to do 400M, finished off nicely to take 5th. Nearest line.
6 9 ACE CHAMPION (K379) R Kingscote TT Jumped on terms, settled down midfield 3-4Ls off the pace, kept up the chase on leaders final 300M but was always held.
7 10 SPICY STANDARD (J520) A Atzeni -- Caught wide no cover chasing leaders, had no extra final 200M and weakened out of contention. (Jockey - obliged to make use early stages to hold a forward position / Blood in trachea.)
8 6 LUCKY MY WAY (K146) L Hewitson B- Began fairly, ended up racing in last over 8Ls off the pace, had big task in hand turning home, made some progress in the straight without posing threat to leaders.
9 4 CHILL BUDDY (K469) H Y Yuen TT Jumped awkwardly, obtained a midfield position along the inside, brought wide 300M to find clear running but responded only fairly. (Jockey - didn't travel well during the event and changed stride on a number of occasions.)
10 2 JUBILANT WINNER (J346) A Badel B/TT Driven along after the start but failed to show sufficient pace going forward, ended up racing behind mid-division, couldn't make up ground in the straight. (No Vet findings.)
11 1 SUPERB CAPITALIST (H092) Y L Chung TT From draw 1 went forward tracking leader, couldn't keep passing 300M, weakened.
12 5 KANSAS (L305) H Bentley CP Away in line, settled down midfield 4-5Ls off leader, failed to respond under pressure 500M, gave ground soon after straightening.
