3 5 SZERYNG (K317) B Avdulla H/TT- Jumped on terms from draw 1, positioned ahead of midfield and always in touch with leaders, kept on steadily under pressure final 300M but couldn't close to winner. Lost 2nd near line.
4 10 FRIENDS OF SHAJING (K202) C L Chau CP-/TT Away well enough, restrained to race in midfield, had 5Ls to make up on leader 400M, ran on steadily to the line for 4th without troubling the easy winner.
5 1 AURIO (K056) Z Purton SR/TT From wide draw taken back to last and was given a waiting ride, 8Ls behind leader 400M, closed off fastest under top weight but couldn't be ridden out final 50M when held up between rivals.
6 2 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) E Brown -- Pressed forward, emerged as leader 850M setting good pace to straight, headed by winner near 250M, faded late to finish 6th.
7 4 GREATER BAE (L033) J Orman B1/TT Reserved in a rearward spot 6-7Ls off leader in a genuinely run race, pushed along 500M, ran home well enough but had too much to make up on leaders.
8 6 GUMMY GUMMY (H089) R Kingscote CP/TT Settled down in second half of the field, had some work to do 400M, ran past beaten horse and didn't pose any threat to leaders.
9 9 TELECOM FIGHTERS (D482) H T Mo -- Disputed for lead early stages before easing back to race in 3rd making the turn for home, run ended near 200M and weakened.
10 7 SHANGHAI WARRIOR (L434) M F Poon -- Bustled along after the start to obtain a position ahead of midfield, shifted in abruptly 500M resulting in rider losing balance, failed to pick up pace in the straight. (Warning placed on the horse's racing manners.)
11 3 CHATEAUNEUF (J219) L Hewitson B/TT Jumped on terms, eased back to race in second half of the field, failed to respond on straightening. Never dangerous. (Jockey could offer no excuse for the horse's performance / Roarer.)
12 11 SPICY GOLD (H440) M L Yeung -- Travelled behind midfield 3-wide without cover, lost ground when checked 500M, failed to run on in the straight and finished tailed out. (Unacceptable Performance / No Vet findings.)
