Racing Incident Report

From the outside gate, ATHLETIC GOLD was immediately steadied, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of TOP BRASS, causing that horse to become unbalanced. After this, ATHLETIC GOLD was shifted across behind runners to a position on the rail but at the rear. When TOP BRASS was bumped, it became unbalanced, then made contact with KAO AND MING and afterwards was taken back across behind runners. FUJIAN PRINCE was slow to begin. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, SUPER BALL failed to muster speed and got further back than is usual. Near the 1000 Metres, FRIENDSHIP, which had been steadied to obtain a position with cover, was momentarily crowded for room inside SUPER BALL and close to the heels of ONLY YOU. After this, FRIENDSHIP proved difficult to settle. For a considerable distance after entering the Back Straight, TOP BRASS proved difficult to settle when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FRIENDSHIP. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, FUJIAN PRINCE bumped the running rail when momentarily tightened for room inside FRIENDSHIP which shifted in away from KAO AND MING. Also making the turn at the 600 Metres, FLORAL ARTS bumped the running rail and became unbalanced when tight inside ONLY YOU. On straightening, FUJIAN PRINCE was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of FLORAL ARTS. SUPER BALL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER BALL after the race did not show any significant findings. EVEREST and FUNTRAP were sent for sampling.
