1 13 SHOTGUN (K111) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 9 INVICTUS DRAGON (K318) Between the 350 Metres and the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 200 Metres was bumped by HONORARY and became unbalanced. Over the final 150 Metres lay in. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 14 THE ALL ROUNDER (K402) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For a short distance near the 400 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running.
4 7 THE LION KING (K265) Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. When being shifted to the outside of HONORARY near the 150 Metres made contact with GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S. J Orman stated that with the horse dropping back in distance he was instructed to hold a midfield position but not to make use of the horse to do so. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to obtain a position further back with cover to avoid covering additional ground.
5 10 HONORARY (K481) Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when crowded between SO MY FOLKS and APOLAR FIGHTER, both of which shifted ground. Near the 200 Metres shifted out and away from DANICA’S CHOICE and made contact with INVICTUS DRAGON.
6 12 SO MY FOLKS (K456) Shifted out shortly after the start and made contact with HONORARY. B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to obtain a position with cover behind the lead.
7 4 STRATHPEFFER (H095) Despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. H Bowman stated that, in his opinion, STRATHPEFFER raced "flat” today. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 11 APOLAR FIGHTER (J169) Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with HONORARY.
9 8 GLORIOUS ST PAUL'S (K524) Shifted out on jumping and made contact with LET’S HAVE FUN. A short distance later GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S was then steadied when crowded between LET’S HAVE FUN and ALWAYS AHEAD. Near the 150 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by THE LION KING, resulting in GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S shifting out and then making contact with LET’S HAVE FUN.
10 3 LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) Crowded on jumping between GLORIOUS ST PAUL’S and DANICA’S CHOICE, both of which shifted ground. In the early stages raced keenly. For some distance near the 1200 Metres got its head up when racing between DANICA’S CHOICE and ALWAYS AHEAD. Bumped near the 150 Metres.
11 1 DANICA'S CHOICE (L096) On jumping was bumped heavily by RUSSET GLOW when that runner jumped awkwardly and shifted in. As a result DANICA’S CHOICE shifted in and made heavy contact with LET’S HAVE FUN. K Teetan confirmed that he was instructed to go forward on his mount. Trainer B Crawford confirmed the instructions issued.
12 6 RUSSET GLOW (L059) Jumped awkwardly, shifted in abruptly and made heavy contact with DANICA’S CHOICE. L Hewitson stated that his mount failed to respond strongly to his riding in the Home Straight and might be better suited by being dropped back in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 2 ALWAYS AHEAD (L055) C Y Ho was warned in relation to using his whip on a horse which was clearly out of contention. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
14 5 VIEW OF COSMOS (L060) When caught wide in the early stages was shifted behind runners. E C W Wong reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of VIEW OF COSMOS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VIEW OF COSMOS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BEAUTY GEMINI (L129) Withdrawn on 28.3.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter THE LION KING. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY GEMINI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
