10 6 SPIRITED STEED (L278) Whilst obliged to race wide throughout the event, Z Purton could offer no other explanation for the horse’s performance. Trainer K W Lui stated that the horse was not suited today by being caught wide and the pace of the race being run outside of standard time in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 3 EVER WEALTH (L317) Had its left hind plate refitted in the Parade Ring, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Over-raced in the middle stages. C Y Ho reported that the tactics adopted today were as per his pre-race instructions. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued.
12 12 LUCKY GIBS (L157) No report.
13 13 VICTORY CHAMPION (K240) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils and to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported. As this was the second occasion that VICTORY CHAMPION had bled, the horse is ineligible to run in any race conducted by the Club in the future.
14 1 MASTER CHAMPION (K266) Raced wide and without cover from the 800 Metres.
