Racing Incident Report

On jumping, MAGIC WIN and KINGDOM OF GOLD bumped. Also on jumping, CHUNG ON TREASURE and FORTUNE GLORY came together. TRULY HAPPY came from the gates awkwardly. IRON TYCOON was slowly away. Turning out of the Straight the first time, IRON TYCOON and MAXIMUM JOY bumped. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, SPECTACULAR WIN hung out. Just after straightening, KINGDOM OF GOLD shifted out to go forward and brushed SPECTACULAR WIN. A Marcus (MAXIMUM JOY) said he had trialed the horse a number of times before tonight's run and it was expected MAXIMUM JOY would be at least competitive. He said he had hoped to be somewhere just behind the speed, but at no stage of the race did MAXIMUM JOY show any interest, failed to pick up the bit as he thought it would and was very disappointing. He was unable to put forward any real explanation for the run. MAXIMUM JOY and CLEAR MASTER were sent for sampling and a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon said he noticed MAXIMUM JOY was coughing. An endoscopic examination was carried out and this revealed a small amount of mucus in the horse's windpipe. KINGDOM OF GOLD and DYNAMIC WINNINGS were sent for sampling.
