Racing Incident Report

RAINBOW EXPRESS was withdrawn on 16.1.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore fetlock) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter STEP FORWARD (E Saint-Martin). Before being allowed to race again, RAINBOW EXPRESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JET RISE began awkwardly and lost ground, then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, BEAMING RIVER, which was laying in, was steadied when awkwardly placed outside the heels of DR HAENSLER which shifted out slightly. After the 200 Metres, STEP FORWARD was shifted to the outside of PROFIT HILL to continue going forward. GLOBE RIVER was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. JET RISE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GLOBE RIVER and JET RISE after the race did not show any significant findings. WINNING CHAMP and DR HAENSLER were sent for sampling.
