Racing Incident Report

Shortly after the start, DIAMOND PRINCE was steadied away from the heels of MUTUAL GAIN which shifted in after being bumped by HAPPY SUNDAY. Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, DESCARTES, which was proving difficult to settle, was crowded for room between JOLLY BIRD and DAYLIGHT EXPRESS, both of which shifted ground. At the 1000 Metres, DIAMOND PRINCE hung out across the heels of HONEST TREASURE and was checked. Shortly after entering the Back Straight, KING OF TURF was bumped by JOLLY BIRD which shifted in abruptly after being checked away from the heels of SPLENDID SAILS when proving difficult to settle. For some distance after this, JOLLY BIRD continued to prove difficult to settle. Passing the 200 Metres, MOUNT SURPLUS was shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SUNDAY which shifted out slightly. HAPPY SUNDAY, WINNING AHEAD and MOUNT SURPLUS were sent for sampling.
