Racing Incident Report

PERFECT ATHLETE was withdrawn on 2.3.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ACTUARIAL TALENT (O Doleuze). Before being allowed to race again, PERFECT ATHLETE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LEAD THE PROSPECTS was slow to begin. At the start, MAGIC PRACTITIONER was checked when crowded for room between JADE DANCER and HAPPY SUNDAY which shifted in abruptly. In this incident, HAPPY SUNDAY and JADE DANCER made heavy contact, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. As a result of this contact, JADE DANCER was taken in across the rightful running of ACTUARIAL TALENT which was also checked. Making the first turn near the 600 Metres, ACTUARIAL TALENT got its head on the side and was steadied away from the heels of FLYING SPRINTER. Passing the 200 Metres, SEIZE THE DAY got its head on the side and shifted out. SEIZE THE DAY then hung out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, OPTIC KING travelled wide and without cover. CHAIN WIN, MOUNT SURPLUS and ACTUARIAL TALENT were sent for sampling.
