Racing Incident Report

LUCKY ARMY began awkwardly.
After bumping EAST OCEAN on jumping, BRILLIANT LIGHT was buffeted for room between that horse and WINNER SMART for some distance after the start.
From the outside barrier, FULL SPIRIT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Shortly after the start, WINNER SMART was also taken across behind runners.
After the 1100 Metres, WINNER SMART commenced to travel keenly and got its head up for a short distance.
Rounding the Home Turn, FLORA DANICA became unbalanced when bumped by IDYLLIC WIND (M Chadwick) which attempted to shift out from behind BILLION which itself got its head on the side and was laying out. M Chadwick was reprimanded and advised that he must show more care and attention than he did on this occasion when attempting to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, BRILLIANT LIGHT travelled wide and without cover and prior to the 500 Metres commenced to give ground and finished tailed out. The performance of BRILLIANT LIGHT was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BRILLIANT LIGHT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of FLORA DANICA and FULL SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
VIVA GUY and LUCKY ARMY were sent for sampling.
